Real, officially The Real Brokerage Inc. (Nasdaq: REAX), is a cloud-based real estate brokerage with no physical offices, built around agent-owned equity and in-house technology. It's grown into one of the largest brokerages in North America, with more than 35,000 agents across the U.S. and Canada as of mid-2026.
The numbers back it up. In the first quarter of 2026, Real closed 41,882 transactions, a 25% increase year over year, with revenue up 32% to $466 million and adjusted EBITDA up 80%. Because Real is publicly traded, these numbers are public record, not marketing claims.
Every agent starts on an 85/15 split, keeping 85% of every commission until they've paid Real $12,000 in splits for the year, roughly $80,000 in gross commission income at that split. Every transaction also carries a flat $40 Compliance and Broker Review fee.
Once you hit the $12,000 cap, your split stops for the rest of your anniversary year. You move to essentially 100% commission, paying a flat $285 transaction fee instead of the 15% split, plus the standard $40 compliance fee.
Yes. Every time you hit your annual cap, Real automatically grants you 150 shares of REAX stock, no application needed. Since Real trades on Nasdaq, that's real, liquid equity you can hold or sell.
Real pays out 60% of its monthly revenue back to agents through its revenue share program, more than any other brokerage in the industry. If you sponsor another agent who joins Real, you're eligible for a portion of the 15% split on their production, through a five-tier plan. It's a way to build income beyond your own transactions.
Real built its own platform, reZEN, to handle transaction management and compliance. Layered on top is Leo, an AI copilot for agents with voice interaction, compliance guidance, and real-time insights. On the consumer side, Real also launched HeyLeo, a conversational AI home search tool currently rolling out across 20 states.
In April 2026, Real announced an agreement to combine with RE/MAX Holdings in an $880 million deal. If it closes as planned in the second half of 2026, the combined company, expected to operate as Real REMAX Group, would bring together more than 180,000 agents worldwide and about $2.3 billion in 2025 revenue. Real also plans to make its tech stack, including reZEN, Leo, and Real Wallet, available across the RE/MAX network.
Real has partnered with Global Benefits Partners in the U.S. and Sterling Capital Brokers in Canada to give agents access to group health insurance options. Agents also have access to Real Wallet, a business checking account with instant access to commissions and a debit card that earns redeemable points.
That depends on your business and your goals, and it's worth a real conversation instead of guessing. Fill out the form below and let's talk through your numbers together.
